Preeti attended Punjab University, Amritsar, India for her BS and completed at the University of North Florida with a degree in Nutrition. She became a registered dietitian after completing an internship at Southern University, Baton Rouge. She came to UCF Student Health Services in 2003 from a consulting company in Orlando where she was a private consultant to various hospitals for three years. Preeti became a certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES) in 2015 and is actively involved with the UCF Type 1 group. She completed her Master of Science in Applied Nutrition from the University of New England in 2019. Her areas of interest are diabetes management and eating disorders.
