Ivana Marrero

My name is Ivana Marrero and I am a Sophomore at UCF studying Biomedical Sciences as a pre-dental student. I am a member of the Pre-Dental Student Association and a peer mentor for the UCF Burnette School of Biomedical Sciences where I get to assist students in schedule building, time management, etc.

I joined SHAC to expose myself more to the health implementations that take place within my university as well as help to bring awareness to it. My passions extend primarily to dental care and public health, but aspire to dive into topics such as nutrition, healthcare access and knowledge, and skin health, especially within the state of Florida. Health literacy has always been something I want to promote to the general public and plan to help by providing as many resources as possible through this committee
