UCF Pharmacy FAQ


We stock the most common prescriptions needed by our patient population and are willing to special order medications based on the formulary.

Yes, we welcome prescriptions written by outside providers as long as they are located within the United States

Not to our facility. Contact your individual housing/residence office to inquire about having prescriptions from mail-order pharmacies delivered to your home.

No, Florida Law prevents this. Please speak to one of our Pharmacy staff for concerns.

Yes, please call ahead with the authorized person’s name and ensure that they know your name and birthdate when they arrive to pick up your medication. A photo ID is required upon request of the person picking it up for you.

Bring any unwanted medications to the secure Drug Take Back boxes located in either Pharmacy or Student Union. The service is anonymous and accepts most products, with the exception of liquids, creams, aerosols, and injectables.

We encourage you to order refills in advance. You can request refills one of two ways:

  • By Accessing UCFRx through the PocketRx app (open on your Smart Phone device)
  • Or by calling 407.UCF.MEDS (407.823.6337) and using our automated telephone system

To transfer a prescription from another pharmacy, fill out the transfer request form online or call 407-UCF-MEDS (407-823-6337) and read off the info from your RX label. A member of our Pharmacy staff will facilitate the transfer.

We accept cash, checks, Knightcash, Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover in our pharmacy.

You will need your UCF ID to scan through the reader, your insurance card, and possibly a Driver’s License for certain medications

Plan B, COVID Tests, Delsym cough suppressant, and Decongestants including Sudafed, Mucinex D, Claritin D, Zyrtec D, and Allegra D

Yes, either through a bilingual staff member or through a certified medical translation service. Through these methods, we can communicate in over 200 languages.
