Sydney Martinez

Hi! I’m Sydney Martinez, an Orlando native and a rising senior studying Health Sciences on the Pre-Clinical Track. With a strong passion for volunteerism, advocacy, and service-based leadership, I was drawn to SHAC to see how I could make a grander impact in my last year at UCF. Advocacy is a crucial aspect of public health and I would love to continue to bridge the gap between public health and medicine to focus on prevention as a physician.

I’ve had extensive and diverse involvement during my time at UCF. My most notable commitment is through the American Red Cross as part of the National Youth Council representing our 100,000+ youth volunteers and being appointed as the National Collegiate Assembly Lead promoting collegiate volunteerism and overseeing the NCA.

A fun fact is that I was a UCF Majorette (D-1  baton twirler) and I have won 3rd place at national competitions representing UCF in both individual and team events. In my free time, I enjoy kayaking, hiking, weight lifting, and exploring new places!
