Jorge is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Saint Xavier University Chicago and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Education with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida. Jorge has a specialty in treating substance use as well as process addiction issues. Prior to coming to UCF Jorge worked for a non-profit agency treating substance use issues in both Outpatient and Residential settings. Jorge’s theoretical orientation focuses on the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy.
