Hi everyone! My name is Isabella Velez and I’m a junior majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Medical Sociology. I’m currently the Smoke Free Subcommittee Chair for SHAC, and I’m truly passionate about this topic as many students aren’t aware of the harmful impacts these substances can hold in the future. I think that it’s an incredibly important topic to discuss, especially with the rising popularity of e-cigarettes along with other tobacco and nicotine products among our generation. After graduation I plan to attend medical school and later enter pediatrics or neonatology.
Outside of SHAC, some of my responsibilities include being a Resident Assistant on Campus, a TA for Immunology Lab, President for Her Health and volunteer with Knights Helping Knights Pantry. In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and working out!
