Hi everyone! My name is Isabella Velez and I’m a sophomore majoring in Biomedical Sciences. I joined SHAC because I wanted to contribute to connecting UCF’s student body with student health services and ensure that everyone has access to and is aware of the services available to them. I’m also particularly interested in our Smoke-Free campus initiative as many students aren’t aware of the harmful impacts these substances can hold in the future. I think that it’s an incredibly important topic to discuss, especially with the rising popularity of e-cigarettes along with other tobacco and nicotine products among our generation. After graduation I plan to attend medical school and later enter pediatrics or neonatology.
Outside of SHAC, I’m the Vice President for Her Health and am involved with PERIOD, MACH, and Knights Helping Knights Pantry. In my free time, I enjoy reading, volunteering, listening to music, and dancing!
