Hello! My name is Emmy Colon Alamo and I am 2nd year Biomedical Sciences Major interested in working in the field of ophthalmology. I moved to Florida 2 years ago from Puerto Rico. Currently, I am the chair of the Nutrition subcommittee with a focus on Eating Disorder Management.
I joined SHAC almost a year ago and have loved it ever since. When we decided on our new subcommittees, I offered the Nutrition subcommittee as many students struggle with adapting their diet after living alone. I hope I can bring a change to this and shed light on the many offerings there are on campus regarding Nutrition and wellbeing.
On my free time, you will either find me practicing judo, piano, or hanging out with my bird Flavio.
After graduation, I plan to go to medical school and work on becoming an ophthalmologist
