Hello Knights! My name is Alex De Almeida, and I am a senior majoring in Biology on the Pre-Health track.
I joined SHAC in fall 2024 in effort to promote sobriety and recovery on campus. As someone who has been directly affected by drug addiction, I find it my duty to help create a safe place for those actively in or seeking recovery, and allies of sobriety who may be looking for a community with the same ideals. My focus is with subcommittee Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) and RSO Sober Knights, where I hope to help facilitate a well-known community absent of all forms of peer pressure and instead full of encouragement, inspiration, and dedication. I am super pumped to be part of CRC here at UCF and excited to make new friends with those who share the same goal in celebrating sobriety!
